Job Description
This position is responsible for fabricating parts according to instructions and within specified time frame, using the appropriate tools and/or equipment according to safety and quality standards, as well as carrying out any other duties as directed by Team Leader or Supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Pass AWS D1.1: 2020 Welder Test.
- Understand and perform weld machine setup.
- Understand and read blueprints.
- Perform all Essential Functions of a Heavy Plate Structural Welder
- Weld Press Brake Side plate, Lower Beams, and upper frames together to produce a frame ready for paint.
- Train other employees on the tasks of a "Welding Apprentice."
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspace.
- Keep Management informed of status, issues, etc.
- Manages Time and Resources.
- Comply with established workplace policies.
- Wear all required PPE.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Capable of performing all Essential Functions of a Heavy Plate Structural Welder
- Contribute to team effort.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
- Act on constructive feedback.
- Improve processes.
- Uphold work standards.
- Accept positive criticism.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
- Welding Supervisor
- Production Manager
- General Manager
- Executive General Manager
SUBORDINATE STAFF:
KNOWLEDGE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working in manufacturing and production preferred.
- Experience driving a forklift and using measuring tools are preferred.
- ISO and SAP experience is a PLUS
- Previous Lead Person experience is a PLUS
SKILLS:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Mathematical skills including tape measure down to the 1/32
- Reasoning and Problem-solving skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
- Ability to design custom reports as requested.
PAY RATE: $20.00-$24.00
SCHEDULE: Monday - Thursday 6:45am - 5:30pm
TRAVEL:
- Minimal to no travel required.
MENTAL ABILITIES:

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- LIFTING: Up to 50 lbs. unassisted
