Position Summary:
Job Title: Microbiology Tech I
Location: Columbus, OH
Duration: 12 Months--Possible extension
Tax Term: W2
Shift: Sunday-Wednesday 10pm - 8:30am
Wednesday-Saturday 6pm-4:30am
Position Summary:
Will assist a daily team of Technicians by collecting samples, test in-process samples, and finished samples.
• Media making
• Daily water collecting and testing.
• Will make and record observations.
• Preform simple calculations.
• Help in support functions; stocking and distributing supplies, collecting, washing, and storing glassware.
• Other tasks as needed.
Skills :
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Microsoft Office skills
• Ability to multitask
• Aseptic technique
• Microbiology background
• Previous lab experience
Education:
Associate degree with at least 2 years lab experience (experience can be college lab work). Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or Food Science straight from college. Will consider candidates graduating soon.
