Job Description

Position Title : Mechanical Drafter

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Create and modify 3D CAD models based on engineering concepts and specifications
• Develop detailed technical drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications
• Design mechanical assemblies and ensure proper fit and function of components
• Produce schematics, diagrams, and other visual documentation to support manufacturing
• Participate in design reviews and collaborate with engineers to refine designs
• Maintain organized digital files of all drawings and models
• Support revision control and documentation processes

Qualifications and Skills:

Required:

• Associate's degree in mechanical drafting, engineering technology, or related field
• 10+ years of experience with parametric CAD software, including 5+ years with Solidworks. Experience with PDM/PLM systems
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical drafting
• Working knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material properties
• Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of industry standards (ASME, ISO, etc.)
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience with product development
• Familiarity with vacuum technology

Job Details:

• Locations: Everett, WA
• Contract: 6 months
• Pay Rate Range: $54-75/hr
