Job Description
Position Title : Mechanical Drafter
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Create and modify 3D CAD models based on engineering concepts and specifications
- Develop detailed technical drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications
- Design mechanical assemblies and ensure proper fit and function of components
- Produce schematics, diagrams, and other visual documentation to support manufacturing
- Participate in design reviews and collaborate with engineers to refine designs
- Maintain organized digital files of all drawings and models
- Support revision control and documentation processes
Qualifications and Skills:
Required:
- Associate's degree in mechanical drafting, engineering technology, or related field
- 10+ years of experience with parametric CAD software, including 5+ years with Solidworks. Experience with PDM/PLM systems
- 10+ years of experience in mechanical drafting
- Working knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material properties
- Ability to read and interpret engineering specifications
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of industry standards (ASME, ISO, etc.)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with product development
- Familiarity with vacuum technology
Job Details:
- Locations: Everett, WA
- Contract: 6 months
- Pay Rate Range: $54-75/hr
