Description The Marketing Manager at Newtown Athletic Club (NAC) will lead the marketing efforts to promote the club's fitness, wellness, and recreational services. The role focuses on driving membership growth, increasing brand visibility, and fostering member engagement through innovative marketing campaigns and partnerships. This individual will work closely with the leadership team to create strategies that resonate with the community and attract new members while retaining existing ones.
Key Responsibilities: Marketing Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing plan to promote the various services of NAC, including fitness programs, wellness services, family activities, and special events.
Understand target demographics and design marketing campaigns to attract new members and increase engagement with current members.
Align marketing efforts with the club's overall business goals and membership targets.
Digital & Social Media Marketing: Lead digital marketing initiatives, including social media management, website content, SEO/SEM, and email campaigns.
Grow the club's presence on social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) and manage online community engagement.
Track and analyze digital marketing performance (click-through rates, conversions, etc.) to ensure maximum ROI.
Member Engagement & Retention: Create campaigns that enhance member experience, from onboarding new members to ongoing engagement with existing members.
Develop and execute events, challenges, and programs that keep members engaged, such as fitness challenges, wellness seminars, or community events.
Monitor member feedback to continuously improve marketing strategies and overall club experience.
Brand Management: Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, and tone across all marketing materials and channels, including brochures, signage, and digital content.
Collaborate with the creative team to produce high-quality marketing collateral that effectively communicates NAC's value propositions.
Act as a brand ambassador, representing the NAC at community events, expos, and other public engagements.
Partnerships & Sponsorships: Develop and nurture relationships with local businesses, vendors, and influencers to enhance the visibility of NAC within the community.
Manage sponsorship deals and partnerships that align with the NAC's brand, mission, and community outreach goals.
Work closely with event organizers to ensure successful participation and promotion of events like fitness expos or charity runs.
Public Relations & Community Outreach: Actively promote NAC's involvement in the community and engage with local media for press coverage and brand visibility.
Plan, coordinate, and promote club events, including wellness workshops, fitness challenges, member appreciation events, and open houses.
Build relationships with community leaders and influencers to establish NAC as a wellness and fitness authority in the region.
Budget & Performance Management: Manage the marketing budget efficiently, ensuring the optimal allocation of resources to maximize campaign performance.
Set and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for all marketing efforts, using data-driven insights to optimize campaigns.
Prepare and present reports on marketing activities, campaign performance, and ROI to the leadership team.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
Experience: 4+ years of marketing experience, preferably in the fitness, health, or wellness industry, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media strategies, and member engagement tactics.
Proficiency with marketing tools and platforms such as email marketing software, content management systems, and CRM.
Experience with event planning and promotion.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail.
Passion for fitness, health, and wellness is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in the fitness, wellness, or hospitality industries.
Familiarity with local and community marketing efforts.
Certification in fitness or wellness-related fields is a plus but not required.
Work Environment: Full-time position based at NAC.
Occasional evening and weekend work for events, open houses, or community activities.
