Fleming’s Auto Services is seeking a motivated, dependable Assistant Manager to join our team. This is more than a register job we’re looking for someone who can help lead operations, identify and solve problems independently, and contribute to a positive, organized work environment.

You’ll be responsible for everything from sales management, store aesthetics, people management, customer interaction, and fueling operations, food preparation, maintaining cleanliness and more. Leadership potential is key we’re looking for someone who can recognize when something’s off and take steps to fix it.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open or close the store and lead operations

• Greet and ring up customers with excellent customer service and a friendly, positive attitude

• Prepare food and beverages (coffee, breakfast, pizza, etc.)

• Stock and organize shelves, coolers, and food stations

• Identify problems in store operations, vendors, or product issues and take initiative to find solutions

• Daily accounting support

• Help develop and promote weekly food and in-store specials

• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the store

• Support a team culture that is positive, respectful, and cooperative

• Assist with light maintenance and equipment checks (e.g., fuel pumps, car wash signage)

• Build strong customer relationships and represent Fleming’s Auto with professionalism

Required Skills:

• Punctuality: Must be on time and dependable

• Problem-Solving: Able to recognize issues and take initiative to resolve them

• Customer Service: Friendly, courteous, and solutions-oriented

• Leadership: Confident leading others and setting a good example

• Organization & Attention to Detail: Keeps store clean, stocked, and running smoothly

• Food Prep Experience: Or willing to learn; follows safety and hygiene guidelines

• Team-Oriented: Works well with others and helps maintain morale

• Multitasking: Can juggle managing, delegation, register, stocking, cleaning, food, and customer needs

• Communication: Clear and professional in-person and over the phone
