**Job Title: Machinist**
**Job Description**
Seeking an experienced Machinist to handle mostly OEM work, along with some repair tasks. The role involves operating Milling or Turning machines with Fanuc and Okuma controls. The successful candidate will work on castings of various sizes, from those as small as a basketball to as large as a washing machine. Responsibilities include running machines, often two at a time, setting up machines weekly for repeat parts, monitoring machine operation, and performing quality checks using various gauges.
**Hard Skills**
+ 3+ years experience in Machining, either Milling or Turning
+ Experience with light machine set up
+ Ability to hold tolerances +/- .05
+ Familiarity with G & M Code
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints
+ Attention to detail for measuring and adjustments
+ Capability to monitor and track part progress effectively
**Work Site**
This is a fully on-site position in East Granby, Connecticut.
**Work Environment**
Clean, well-lit, and highly organized shop floor with a mix of new and older machinery. The facility employs 200 people across two shifts. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe boots and safety glasses are required on the floor.
