About the Role:

Join Samaritan Hospital's dedicated team as a Locum with Trusted Locum Staffing, that transitions into a Perm Psychiatrist position in the Adult Inpatient Unit. This is a fantastic opportunity to transition to a permanent position, starting in September. You will work alongside a team of professionals in a supportive and secure environment, providing high-quality psychiatric care.

Position Details:

• Type: Locum to Perm
• Unit: General Adult Behavioral Health (30 beds, 15 patients per provider)
• Total Inpatient Beds: 63 beds (split among 4 inpatient physicians, 1 opening)
• Outpatient Team: 5 physicians and 3 APPs at full staffing
• EMR: EPIC
• Safety/Security: 24/7 security guards; all staff attend codes
• Credentialing: Facility can credential within 4 weeks

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric care to adult patients in the inpatient unit.
• Occasionally evaluate children in the crisis unit during weekend calls and facilitate their transfer to an adolescent facility if admitted.

Requirements:

• Board Certified: Required
• ACLS: Required
• NY License: Must have at the time of submission
• Clean Background: Required for quick credentialing
