Job Description:
The Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality patient care through teamwork and the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role ensures patient safety by adhering to policies and procedures and provides pain management and comfort measures. The RN collaborates with other departments, mobilizes resources in complex cases, and supports patients and families with information and coping mechanisms. The nurse anticipates patient needs, ensures effective communication, and proactively resolves issues related to patient education and discharge planning. Responsibilities:  

• Deliver quality care through teamwork using the nursing process.
• Ensure patient safety by following policies and procedures.
• Provide support for pain management and comfort measures.
• Follow up on interventions by other departments.
• Mobilize resources in complex cases for patient recovery.
• Provide information and coping mechanisms to patients and families.
• Assess patient information needs and communicate effectively.
• Formulate and document effective discharge plans.
• Anticipate age-specific healthcare needs and patient needs.
• Ensure effective handoff communication.
• Proactively resolve patient education and medication management issues.
• Modify patient care regimens using judgment.
• Collaborate with case managers and healthcare providers.
• Develop staffing plans and attend educational sessions.
• Plan and provide individualized comfort measures using innovative approaches.

Additional Qualifications
