Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations while ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to navigate routes effectively.

Duties

• Base location in Canton MI OR Taylor MI . All local driving
• Operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers
• Drive routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
• Load and unload freight as necessary, ensuring proper handling of materials.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
• Utilize manual transmission when required for specific vehicles.
• Assist in training new drivers on route driving techniques and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL-A) is required.
• Proven experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with operating forklifts is a plus.
• Experience with manual transmission vehicles preferred.
• Ability to navigate using GPS systems and maps for route planning.
• Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety regulations.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Valid DOT Medical Card
