Job Title: Litigation Paralegal – Family Law

Location: Seattle, WA (Remote/Hybrid Flexibility)

Salary: $65,000 – $120,000, based on experience

About the Opportunity

Pen Pioneer is seeking a skilled and driven Litigation Paralegal to support a growing and well-respected family law practice group in Seattle, Washington . This firm has carved out a niche in the Pacific Northwest’s most complex and high-conflict family law matters, including custody disputes, high-asset divorces, and fraud investigations involving business owners and executives.

Responsibilities

• Draft correspondence, pleadings, and legal documents from scratch
• Prepare discovery requests and responses
• Organize and manage case files, exhibits, and trial notebooks
• Assist attorneys with preparation for mediation, hearings, and trial
• Coordinate team signatures, filings, and court deliveries
• Maintain calendars and schedule client meetings, deadlines, and court dates
• Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and internal teams
• Track tasks and projects using cloud-based systems
• Meet billable hour goals (target: 5.5 hours per business day)
• Contribute to ongoing improvements in legal processes and team efficiency

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in family law litigation support
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
• Strong time management and multitasking skills
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills
• High level of discretion and professionalism
• Comfortable working in cloud-based environments (Microsoft Teams, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree or certificate in Paralegal Studies or Legal Administration
• Familiarity with tools such as Clio , Dropbox , or MyPleadings
• Experience working in emotionally charged or high-stakes cases
• Financial or bookkeeping knowledge
• Background in investigative research or business fraud analytics
• International or government experience a plus
