Major Food Group is hiring for a talented and passionate Kitchen Manager to join our team at Parm Italian!
Since the original location of Parm opened in New York City’s Little Italy in 2011, the restaurant’s takes on Italian-American soul food have reached iconic status. From the prized Chicken Parm to the homemade meatballs to the Rigatoni Carbone, the menu is inspired by the cooking Michelin-Starred chefs Mario Carbone and Rich Torrisi ate growing up. The goal is to make the best versions of these recognizable dishes while remaining faithful to their history—and to serve them in a fun, familial environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise the preparation and production of food items ensuring quality standards and met
Complete storeroom operations, stock rotation, sanitation protocols and equipment maintenance
Receive and inspect items from accuracy, consistency and quality. Notify team of any receiving discrepancies and communicate with the vendor/suppliers to facilitate resolution as required
Maintain inventory system to ensure appropriate level of product and supply and update purchase orders accurately in system
Maintain high standards of cleanliness or organization throughout all operation and storage areas
Provide direction for all team members in regards to quality standards, safety and sanitation, and company policies and procedures
Comply with all local and state Department of Health regulations in regard to Food Handling and Storage
REQUIREMENTS:
2+ years prior restaurant culinary leadership experience
Experience in high volume food production and kitchen operations
Demonstrated experience with tracking, managing, and reporting on kitchen operation financials
Ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment including mixer, slicer, ovens, grills, and knives
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to work on-site for assigned schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
COMPENSATION : Salary ($75,000 - $85,000)
