Job Family: Research & Development Req ID: 423141 The Siemens Digital Industries Software group is seeking a full-time Junior Strategic Researcher to join our team and contribute to designing and developing a wide range of products and services within our Software as a Service (SaaS) portfolio. As an Associate Strategic Researcher, you will play a significant part in creating product offerings by bringing valuable context and insights to the forefront of our strategic roadmap. Position overview: In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of our SaaS solutions. As part of a specialist team of strategic researchers, you will help establish and support strategic research processes across the organization. Key Responsibilities: Understand Our Users: Conduct all phases of user research to deeply understand our customers. Proactively seek ways to improve their experience by identifying their needs, frustrations, and motivations. Communicate Insights: Transform research findings into actionable insights and practical solutions. Present these insights to stakeholders, integrating them into the discovery and design processes to enhance the SaaS experience. Document and Iterate on Processes: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for research initiatives. Continuously drive improvements in research processes to ensure effectiveness and efficiency. Collaborate Effectively: Work in a cross-disciplined environment with engineering, customer experience, and business teams. Foster a collaborative approach to deliver impactful experiences to our users. Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in UX/Design/User research or similar roles A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in applicable subject areas; master’s degree and/or Recent Doctorate Degree highly preferred Proficiency in qualitative and quantitative research methods, including user interviews, ethnographic research, mixed methods usability testing, understanding user analytics, and survey design. Experience conducting research in a remote setting; in-person experience is also preferred. Experience presenting a variety of information clearly to diverse audiences. Familiarity with various user research tools and software (e.g., Userinterviews.com, Condens.io, Qualtrics, UserTesting.com, etc.) Experience working in a collaborative, cross-disciplined, international environment. Preferred Skills: Knowledge of user-centered design principles Portfolio showcasing both qualitative and quantitative methodologies, highly preferred Subject knowledge of any of the following: Software as a Service (SaaS), Manufacturing, Automation, Supply-chain, Engineering, or related fields Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: This remote position is available to US-based applicants, with some travel required. Transform the Everyday The salary range for this position is $82,900 to $149,200 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
