Greenwood Sustainable Infrastructure (GSI) is focused on developing, engineering, financing, building, and operating solar PV and energy storage projects with capacities from 1MW to 100MW in Canada and the USA. GSI is seeking a dedicated investment analyst to support the team's renewable energy development and investment processes.

This full-time permanent position will be hybrid, with infrequent travel for role-specific duties and visits to our Canadian and U.S. offices. This position will report to the Director of Strategic Capital.

• Development from scratch and management of financial models for projects to be financed/refinanced and/or acquired/developed and performing the related sensitivity analysis
• Economic and financial evaluation of acquisition opportunities, assistance in developing and adjusting third-party models on bids, investments and deals when required
• Assist with, monitor and follow up on the due diligence process needed in relation to financing transactions and/or acquisition of projects (including coordination with the other departments of the company - such as technical and development departments - involved in the process)

· Assist in the preparation of bid support and responses to requests for proposal

• Supporting the loan administration activities for project financing agreements, including periodic updates of financial models
• Supporting in the structuring and execution of financing/refinancing transactions and negotiating financing agreements with banks
• Researching federal and state renewable energy incentive programs for incorporation into analyses and identification of new business opportunities
• Prepare/assist with presentations, proposals (PowerPoint) and reports (Excel/Word) as required for senior management to present externally and to the investment committee.
• Perform other duties, including reporting, maintaining and filing documentation, managing data rooms, etc.
• Complete/Assist other duties and projects as assigned to help business operations, the finance team and business development team

In order to excel in this role, you’ll must:

• Must be passionate about the renewable energy business, hardworking, and thriving at the fast pace of a rapidly growing, early-stage company.
• Strong infrastructure investment financial modelling skills. Modelling of renewable energy and/or tax equity investments is preferred;
• Previous infrastructure experience in investment banking, project finance or funds management is preferred;
• An understanding of general accounting and US taxation principles is preferred;

• Bachelor of Business, Economics, and Engineering from a leading University
