Position: Inventory Control Associate
FSLA Status: Full-Time/Non-Exempt
Location: Redlands, CA
Pay Rate: $20.00/hr
Scope of the Role
The Inventory Control Associate will work closely with the Inventory Lead to analyze inventory discrepancies and conduct scheduled and unscheduled cycle counts.
Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities
- Perform cycle counts and enter adjustments to correct inventory counts.
- Investigate, analyze, and resolve various requests involving transaction discrepancies as reported and/or requested by Inventory Control Lead or Operations Supervisor.
- Report all receiving and stocking errors and communicate to appropriate person(s).
- Identify and remove damaged product.
- Help in defining root cause for inaccuracies.
- Review Inventory movements for proper transactions.
- Provide guidance to other warehouse associates in the areas of receiving products, selecting products, shipping products, and loading products.
- Operate Cherry Picker equipment as needed to validate inventory.
- Electronic filing of required company records including scanning, checking, naming, archiving documents.
- Rework QC identified projects.
- Perform liquidation duties, remove inventory from WMS/ERP as needed.
- Stage liquidated items for disposal or pickup as needed.
- Track inventory levels of internal supplies for rework, boxes, tape, and labels.
- Conduct all activities in a safe manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Required Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1+ year of recent required experience in an inventory cycle counting role within the manufacturing, production, or distribution environments.
- Excellent attendance required; must be able to work on a regular and predictable basis or as schedule due to changes in the business needs and/or during peak season.
- Ability to learn computer programs.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and professional interactive skills are necessary to perform at a high degree of proficiency.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret a variety of instructions, communications and reports provided in written, verbal, transactional or Excel spreadsheet format.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to walk or stand for long periods of time and walk the distribution center and surrounding areas as needed.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation.
- Detail Oriented – Attention to details and accuracy.
- Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Develops alternative solutions.
- Demonstrate a sense of urgency in achieving goals and able to efficiently function in stressful situations.
- Must be able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks.
- Must have solid organizational and communication skills.
- Willing to accept new challenges and responsibilities.
- Able to work autonomously with basic direction, self-motivated, and able to analyze and prioritize tasks.
- Experienced in Reach and Forklift equipment.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient use of MS Windows and Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
- Familiarity with NetSuite and High Jump a plus.
