Job Duties:

• Read blueprints and talk with supervisors at the start of every project to better understand the insulation needs for the specific building, based on the characteristics of the space and the heat-retention abilities of the materials.
• Install blown-in fiberglass insulation.
• Perform air sealing.
• Prepare work site by installing dept markers, rafter mate, and insulation barriers.
• Use tools, such as cordless drills, tape measures, knives, staplers and power saws, hammer, as needed to prepare the insulation for installation.
• Install roof vents and ventilation fans.
• Distribute insulation evenly in small spaces by using blowers and hose attachments.
• Document work using an iPad application.
• Record materials used.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Vald driver's license and clean driving record
• Previous construction experience (preferred)
• Comfort using hand tools, power tools, scaffolding and ladders.
• Able to work in attics, and hot and cold environments.
• Strong verbal communication.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements.
