Description: Position Purpose The Industrial Equipment Operator is responsible for sorting soiled linen and operating industrial washing equipment to clean all soiled linens for patient/clinician use in the hospital and for contract accounts, while maintaining the highest possible quality, production, sanitation, and safety standards in Textile Service operations.
What will do - Operates washer/extractors using formulas approved by the Textile Operations Coordinator.
- Operates tunnel washing machine/computer and monorail system.
- Maintains an even flow of sorted linen items to the washing and/or clean production areas.
- Maintains accurate records related to production/productivity data, including accurate weights.
- Reports needed repairs to the Textile Service Engineer.
- Performs routine cleaning of laundry equipment and keeps work area clean/organized.
- Utilizes equipment to maximize productivity, while following proper operating instructions.
- Demonstrates teamwork/cooperation in providing daily textile services to direct/indirect customers.
- Keeps the Operations Coordinator or Lead Worker informed of pertinent information related to job duties and the completion of scheduled/assigned work.
- Meets productivity/work standards while demonstrating competency in job skills and knowledge.

Minimum Qualifications - Education 1. High school diploma or certificate required.
