Job Description
Position Overview:
The Immigration Paralegal will work closely with attorneys and clients to prepare and file immigration petitions, monitor deadlines, and ensure efficient case management. The ideal candidate is a motivated team player who thrives in a high-pressure environment and has a strong sense of empathy and discretion.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare immigration petitions, applications, and supporting documentation (e.g., family-based petitions, humanitarian relief, removal defense, employment-based filings).
Conduct client intakes and maintain client communication in a courteous and professional manner.
Monitor case progress and maintain accurate and up-to-date files in our case management system.
Draft affidavits, cover letters, and legal correspondence for attorney review.
Coordinate and schedule biometrics, interviews, and court dates.
Translate documents and interpret for client meetings (if Spanish-speaking).
Organize evidence and documentation for filings, including compiling exhibits and preparing packets for submission.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with all ethical standards.
