Job Responsibilities Assists in the classification and compensation process, including completing, distributing and following up on paperwork, ensuring needed information is received and communicated, and maintaining accurate employee evaluation software and audit files. Assists with the recruiting and onboarding process for full-time and part-time employees, as needed. Assists with managing employee files and reporting as needed. - Assists in the classification and compensation process, including establishing/processing new positions, reclassifications, reassignments, and conducting job analyses. Ensures all audit paperwork and employee salary action notifications are sent to applicable recipients and filed in the appropriate electronic filing systems. Maintains college and divisional Organizational Charts for submission annually to SCTCS.
- Assists with the performance management/eReview process. Assists with web-based EPMS/FPMS (performance) system. Ensures planning stages and evaluations are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Maintains progress reports. Enters evaluation ratings in Colleague as needed. Coordinates with the HR Data/Reporting Coordinator to enter universal EPMS/FPMS ratings. Assists with maintenance and training of the performance management process. Works closely with SCTCS IT staff to ensure processes run correctly.
- Coordinates the onboarding process. Sends new hire offer letters/emails. Ensures appropriate paperwork and background checks are completed and new hires are entered timely. Coordinates new hires' first-day experience including collecting I-9s and welcoming new hires to SCC. Assists with the break in service process for temporary employees and related reporting.
- Serves as a backup for SCC recruiting processes. Assists with posting positions, referring applicants, scheduling interviews, and conducting interviews.
- Tracks receipt of transcripts and ensures proper documentation. Ensures transcripts are forwarded to the proper channel for credentialing. Maintains the College Catalog.
Minimum and Additional Requirements High School diploma and clerical or administrative experience. Bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related area; experience working in Human Resources; customer service experience; ability to work with confidential information; ability to work with and without supervision; ability to work with a team; attention to detail; and be proficient with Microsoft office applications.
