Job Description

Position Summary: The Onboarding Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth and positive transition for new hires. This individual will be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of the onboarding process, from pre-employment activities to post-hire support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Employment Activities:
    • Coordinate pre-employment checks, such as background screenings, reference verifications, and drug tests.
    • Provide necessary information and documentation to new hires prior to their start date.
  • Onboarding Process:
    • Assist new hires with standardized onboarding process that aligns with company policies and best practices.
    • Coordinate orientation sessions with clients where applicable.
    • Facilitate new hire paperwork and documentation completion.
  • Post-Hire Support:
    • Monitor and track new hire progress
    • Provide ongoing support and resources to new hires as needed.
    • Address any questions or concerns raised by new hires.
  • Technology and Systems:
    • Manage and maintain the onboarding software or system.
    • Ensure accurate data entry and record keeping.
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest onboarding trends and technologies.
  • Employee Experience:
    • Contribute to a positive and welcoming employee experience during the onboarding process.
    • Gather feedback from new hires to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma/GED equivalent
  • Experience in onboarding or human resources administration.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using HR software and systems.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Recruiting experience preferred but not required.
