Primary Purpose of Position:To ensure the cleanliness and order of the apartment community’s office, model amenities, common areas, and apartments when applicable.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • General Cleaning of Common Building Hallways
    • Wipe down entry door.
    • Vacuum carpet.
    • Remove cobwebs.
    • Pick-up trash and/or empty trash receptacles.
    • Wipe off or attempt to remove markings on wall board.
    • Report burned out light bulbs or personal property left.
    • Monthly cleaning of light fixtures, signs, window treatments/glass/sills, baseboards, vents, stair banisters, and removal of outdated bulletin board messages.
  • General Cleaning of Clubhouse, Leasing & Management Office
    • Empty trash receptacles.
    • Clean desk and countertop areas.
    • Dust furnishings and decorative items.
    • Vacuum/mop flooring.
    • Monthly cleaning of window treatments/glass/sills, baseboards, vents, light fixtures, office equipment (copier, computer screens, telephones, facsimile, etc).
  • Weekly Cleaning of Model
    • Dust furnishings and decorative items.
    • Mop vinyl floorings.
    • Disinfect kitchen and bathroom countertops and sinks.
    • Vacuum carpeting.
    • Arrange furnishings to appropriate place if altered from approved décor.
    • Monthly cleaning of window treatments/glass/sills, doors, baseboards, vents, light fixtures, bathroom fixtures, and appliances.
  • Daily Cleaning of Clubhouse/Common Restrooms
    • Sanitize all bathroom fixtures and flooring.
    • Restock paper and soap supplies.
    • Replace burned out light bulbs.
    • Empty trash receptacle.
    • Polish mirrors.
    • Monthly cleaning of doors, partitions, light fixtures, trash receptacles, window treatments/sills, baseboards, vents and decorative items.
  • Weekly Cleaning Fitness/Exercise Room
    • Dust or wipe down equipment.
    • Empty trash receptacles.
    • Vacuum or mop flooring.
    • Polish mirrors.
    • Monthly cleaning of doors, light fixtures, trash receptacles, window treatments/sills, baseboards, vents, and decorative items.
  • General Cleaning of Meeting Room when applicable
  • Weekly Cleaning of Mail Room
    • Mop floor.
    • Empty trash receptacle.
    • Wipe down countertops.
    • Monthly cleaning of doors, light fixtures, trash receptacles, window treatments/glass/sills, baseboards, vents and removal of outdated bulletin board messages.
  • Daily Cleaning of Pool/Whirlpool Restrooms & Locker rooms
    • Sanitize all bathroom fixtures and flooring.
    • Restock paper and soap supplies.
    • Replace burned out light bulbs.
    • Empty trash receptacle.
    • Monthly cleaning of doors, partitions, light fixtures, trash receptacles, window treatments/glass/sills and decorative items.
  • Pool Deck Seasonal as directed
    • Arrange furnishings to appropriate place if altered from approved décor.
    • Wash and rinse furniture using an approved detergent and soft brush.
    • Empty trash receptacles and ash trays.
    • Collect personal belongings left by guests and place in community’s lost and found container.
    • Pick-up and discard debris.
  • Service Requests
    • Prioritize service requests and complete by cleaning/repairing in a workmanship like and timely manner.
    • Generally complete service requests within 24 hours of date the request was made.

  • Daily Inspections
    • Inspect common areas and community amenities daily to ensure that these areas are in good condition.
    • Prepare appropriate service requests or notify Maintenance Supervisor when areas need attention. If corrective action is minor and within the scope of housekeeping responsibilities, proceed to complete the work necessary.
  • Administrative
    • Complete checklist for each work area and return to Maintenance Supervisor.
    • Complete time sheets.
  • Support - Offer assistance as necessary to alleviate a team member’s workload.
  • Communication
    • Maintain a professional and friendly rapport with residents, team members, and contractors.
    • Notify Maintenance Supervisor of Contractors who consistently fail in performing contracted work.
    • Notify Maintenance Supervisor of work delays, low inventory, emergency situations or angry Residents.
    • Keep Property Manager apprised of unhappy team members, angry Residents, complaints, alleged neighbor disputes or incidents believed to have violated a community policy or term of the Lease.
  • Safety
    • Complies with the Liv Communities Employee Safety and Compliance manual.

Job Qualifications:

  • Completion of one approved fair housing seminar within one year, and every two years thereafter.

Scheduling

  • Required to maintain a regular schedule which may require working overtime, weekends, and some holidays as well as some afterhours resident events.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk around the property several times daily - up 10 miles a day.
  • Ability to walk on uneven surfaces.
  • Ability to climb several flights of stairs several times daily.
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency required.
  • Must be able to sit, stand, reach, bend and stoop for extended periods of time.
