Job Title: Experienced Live-In Housekeeper Location: Cold Spring, NY
About Us: Join a warm and welcoming couple living on a stunning estate in Cold Spring, New York. Our beautiful 7,000 sq. ft. main residence is nestled in a serene environment, offering a unique opportunity for an experienced and animal-loving housekeeper. You will have your own charming cottage separate from the main home, ensuring privacy and comfort.
The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a meticulous and dedicated housekeeper to manage all housekeeping and laundry duties. Your role will include:
- Housekeeping: Comprehensive cleaning and upkeep of the entire house, managing household supplies, food inventory, and houseplants.
- Laundry: Handling all family laundry, including ironing and carefully reading garment labels to avoid damage. Weekly ironing of sheets is required.
- Organization: Scheduling and executing daily to seasonal household tasks, ensuring the home runs smoothly.
- Pet Care: Loving and attentive care for our pets, including feeding and dog-sitting our two dogs when the owners are away. No allergies that would limit interaction with animals are essential.

What Works Best for the Family: Our home is upscale but not overly formal. We use cloth napkins, prefer ironed sheets, and maintain silver, fine artwork, and china. We value a housekeeper who can suggest improvements but is not rigid in their methods.
About the Family: - The Couple: The wife is an artist who resides full-time on the property, while the husband is a physician working in NYC from Tuesday to Friday.
- Pets: Two dogs and one cat.
- Current Staff: House/Estate Manager and a secondary housekeeper assisting with pet cleaning and deep cleaning.
Home Size: 7,000 sq. ft.
Position Responsibilities: - Full housekeeping duties
- Family laundry, including hand washing delicates
- Ironing
- No errands required
- Driving required
- Pet sitting
Work Hours: - 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM with a 30-minute break, or
- 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with a 1-hour break
Requirements: - Fluent in English
- At least 3 years of experience
- Minimum of 2 references

Compensation and Benefits: - Salary: $75,000 per year
- Living Accommodations: Live-in position with your own cottage on the property
- Vacation: 10 working days and paid federal holidays
