Associated Physicians Group is seeking compassionate, detail-oriented individuals to join our Patient Support Team as Remote Healthcare Customer Service Representatives. This role offers the flexibility to create a work schedule that fits your life whether you're an early bird, a night owl, or managing other responsibilities. You'll help patients navigate their care journey, schedule appointments, understand their benefits, and resolve billing inquiries from the comfort of your home.
Answer inbound calls, emails, and chats from patients regarding appointments, insurance, billing, and general inquiries.
Schedule and reschedule patient appointments using our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Verify insurance information and assist with pre-authorizations when necessary.
Handle patient billing inquiries and guide them through payment options.
Escalate complex concerns to the appropriate departments while maintaining a warm and professional tone.
Ensure all patient data is handled in accordance with HIPAA standards.
Maintain accurate documentation of interactions in real time.
High School Diploma or GED required.
1+ year experience in a healthcare customer service or administrative support role.
Proficiency in EMR platforms (e.g., Epic, AthenaHealth, Cerner) is preferred.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and stay organized in a remote setting.
Reliable internet and a quiet home workspace.
Choice of 4, 6, or 8-hour shifts
Option to work weekends, evenings, or split shifts
Minimum commitment: 20 hours per week
Competitive hourly pay: $18$25/hr based on experience and availability
