Description


The purpose of this position is to lead and direct the Health Promotion and Policy program area. The program area promotes health through the development and implementation of healthy strategies that focus on individual and population-based interventions, strengthening community partnerships, and assuring quality health education services (community and patient education, staff education, and administration services) for the people of Randolph County. Work also involves quality health education, health promotion policy, and training to members of the community as well as health department staff.

Minimum Education and Experience


A master's degree in public health education or in public health work with a major in public health education and two years' experience in public health education; graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in health education and four years' experience in public health education; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Comments


Regular work hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday; 40 hours per week. There are occasions however, when this individual might have hours outside of regular hours on weekends and evenings.
