We are on the hunt for a dynamic, innovative and experienced Sr. Director - Mobile SDK to join our tech services team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and implementation of our mobile software development kits (SDKs). The successful candidate will be leading a team of software engineers and will be responsible for the overall strategy, planning, execution and success of complex technical projects related to our mobile SDKs.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of mobile SDKs across iOS platforms using Swift.
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of the mobile SDKs, including strategy, vision, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and post-launch support.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to align the mobile SDKs with business needs and objectives.
  • Set and manage expectations, communicate project status, and identify and manage risks and issues.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and customer-centric design.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team, promoting a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in mobile SDKs and related technologies.
Qualifications:

1. Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • A Master's degree is a plus.
2. Experience:
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in mobile application development, focusing on iOS and Swift.
3. API Design and Integration:
  • Experience with API design and integration with backend systems.
  • Familiarity with OAuth 2.0 and RESTful APIs for secure data communication.
4. Security Expertise:
  • Proficiency in encryption techniques and best practices for handling sensitive data.
  • Knowledge of secure storage mechanisms (e.g., Keychain on iOS).
  • Familiarity with modern authentication protocols like FIDO2.0.
5. Mobile Development (iOS):
  • Expertise in Swift.
  • Understanding of Xcode, the iOS app lifecycle, and the Cocoa Touch framework.
  • Familiarity with dependency management tools like CocoaPods and Swift Package Manager.
6. Compliance Knowledge:
  • Understanding of PCI DSS for secure payment data handling.
7. Tokenization Technologies:
  • Knowledge of tokenization technologies (e.g., MDES, VTS).
8. XPays Wallets:
  • General understanding of XPays wallets.
9. Team Leadership:
  • Proven experience leading a team of mobile developers.
  • Successful delivery of mobile SDKs.
10. Programming Proficiency:
  • Strong knowledge of Swift, Objective-C, and Cocoa Touch.
11. Apple Design Principles:
  • Understanding of Apple’s design principles and interface guidelines.
12. Code Versioning:
  • Proficient with code versioning tools such as Git.
13. Performance Optimization:
  • Experience with performance and memory tuning tools.
14. Continuous Integration and Delivery:
  • Familiarity with tools and practices for continuous integration and delivery.
15. Problem-Solving:
  • Strong problem-solving skills for tackling complex technical challenges.
16. Communication and Leadership:
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate a team.
