Agricultural Mechanic Internship at Granite Hills Group - Spartanburg, SC

Position Overview:

Granite Hills Group, a leading provider of commercial landscaping services. We are excited to offer an Agricultural Mechanic Internship program. We are on the lookout for individuals who exhibit a strong work ethic, an eagerness to learn about machinery operation, and the drive to work independently on complex mechanical tasks. This program is an excellent opportunity for those who wish to gain hands-on experience in the mechanical field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct repairs and maintenance of equipment in both shop and field environments, including skid steers, excavators, and their implements.
• Begin with basic mechanical repairs, such as replacing belts and blades, with the opportunity to advance to more complex tasks based on performance and learning progress.
• Diagnose and fix a variety of mechanical issues, with a chance to work on electrical systems as well.
• Operate within a variety of work locations, adapting to the diverse challenges presented by each setting.
• Work independently on multiple tasks, demonstrating self-motivation and the ability to prioritize workload without constant supervision.

Qualifications:

• A mechanical background or basic knowledge of engines is required.
• Experience or understanding of electrical wiring systems is highly desirable.
• Strong work ethic and a drive to learn about machinery operation.
• Self-motivated with the ability to complete tasks independently.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team when necessary.
