Role Description

Optum Financial seeks a visionary GM to lead its Provider Payments division. This division aims to design integrated end-to-end embedded payments and financing solutions, including payment acceptance, back-office payable capabilities, integrated working capital financing, and bundled banking offerings. The role involves driving strategic growth, building relationships with providers, and ensuring the organization’s leadership in healthcare FinTech. Responsibilities include managing $90M+ in revenue, launching new products, entering new markets, and leading large-scale M&A initiatives. The successful candidate will have a FinTech mindset, foster relationships with FinTech partners, enable a modern Fintech ecosystem, and generate high-quality earnings by creating value for providers.

Remote Work

This role offers flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S., tackling challenging projects.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute strategic plans to grow and profitably manage the Provider Payments business, aligning with healthcare provider needs.
  • Provider Value Enhancement: Design innovative FinTech solutions to improve the financial well-being of healthcare providers.
  • Relationship Building: Establish and nurture relationships with healthcare providers to understand their challenges and develop tailored solutions.
  • Industry Expertise: Stay current with trends, regulations, and technologies in healthcare FinTech to identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient operations and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and innovation.
  • Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure growth and profitability.
  • Market Expansion: Pursue new markets, partnerships, and collaborations to expand presence.
  • Brand Development: Represent the company at industry events to enhance reputation and visibility.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, healthcare administration, or related field
  • Leadership experience, preferably as a CEO or GM
  • Deep understanding of healthcare, FinTech, or payments
  • Ability to develop value-driven solutions for providers
  • Strategic thinking and planning skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Financial management skills
  • Creativity and innovation drive
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel 25%

Preferred:

  • Based in MN or NYC
  • Advanced degree such as MBA

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $225,000 - $375,000 annually, based on experience and location. Benefits include comprehensive packages, incentives, equity, and 401k. Details depend on eligibility.
