Gardener/Landscaper

We are seeking a reliable and skilled  Gardener / Landscaper  to provide professional landscaping, lawn care and to enhance the outdoor spaces to ensure they remain esthetically pleasing, functional and healthy. The ideal candidate will have experience in plant care, mowing, trimming, weeding, and seasonal yard upkeep.

Responsibilities

1. Landscape Maintenance
   • Mow, edge, and trim lawns and garden beds.
   • Prune shrubs, trees, and plants to maintain health and aesthetics.
   • Weed, mulch, and fertilize landscaped areas.
2. Planting and Installation
   • Plant flowers, trees, shrubs, and seasonal displays.
   • Lay sod, seeds, and other ground covers as needed.
   • Install hardscape elements like pathways, edging, or decorative features.
3. Irrigation and Watering
   • Set up and maintain irrigation systems.
   • Monitor and adjust watering schedules to ensure plant health.
   • Make sprinkler repairs as necessary.
4. Equipment Use and Maintenance
   • Operate tools and machinery such as mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
   • Perform routine maintenance on landscaping equipment.
5. General Cleanup and repair
   • Collect and dispose of debris such as leaves, branches, and trash.
   • Maintain clean and tidy work areas.
6. Customer Service
   • Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns and provide recommendations.
   • Ensure work meets client specifications and quality standards.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Previous experience in landscaping, gardening, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with local plant species, pests, and seasonal care practices.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency with landscaping tools and machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and an eye for aesthetics.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.
• Certifications (optional):
  • Certification in landscaping or horticulture is a plus.
  • A valid driver’s license may be required for crew leader.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.).
• Capability to work on feet for extended periods.
• Comfortable working outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
