Job Title: Food Application Scientist

Job Description

This position is responsible for preparing, blending, developing, and formulating solutions to project requests made through Sales or as part of internal project directives. This role liaises between Technical, Sales, Customer Care, Quality, and Operations Teams to ensure customer project needs are met in a timely manner. The Food Scientist will provide technical support for all directed internal and external inquiries and require in-person customer visits where advanced technical guidance is necessary. Additionally, the Food Scientist will manage associate scientists and/or lab technicians. This role requires adherence to all operating procedures, safety regulations, and policies set forth by the company, as well as compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws. Up to 25% travel to client sites and trade shows is required.

Work Environment

Work requires the ability to maintain concentrated attention to detail for sustained periods. The role can be physically demanding, requiring standing, walking, stooping, reaching, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Regularly, the job will require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds. The role also requires the use of tools or equipment needing a high degree of dexterity and involves close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
