**Fleet Manager**

**Position Purpose:**
The Fleet Manager will work with the Fleet Director to manage company assets by tracking procured inventory; and coordinate warranty and repairs for a heavy equipment and machinery rental services company with a focus on getting maximizing company return on investment. In this role, the Fleet Manager will also be responsible for administration of the company transport vehicle and fuel program.
**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:**
* Responsible for timely and accurate asset data entered into the inventory management system of all new and used equipment and machinery
* Generate and communicate tracking reports to leadership and to field branch operations
* Coordinate warranty repairs with manufacturers and work with branch managers in filing warranty claims with manufacturers
* Coordinate all vehicle registrations and permitting for use as rental equipment in various locations including renewals as needed Become knowledgeable in federal, state, and local requirements for the rental and sale of equipment.
* Coordinate and track branch to branch transfers of equipment
* Maintain preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment and ensure maintenance is conducted in a timely fashion Approve all maintenance and repairs of equipment as authorized.
* Partner with branch managers to target equipment to be placed on sale; define asset specifications, preferred brands to ensure consistency across districts
* Ensure new company vehicles are registered and meet MEWP and other compliance Responsible for tracking and timely renewals.
* Facilities auction sales
* Administer the company vehicle policy and assist the Fleet Director and branch manager to ensure there is adequate vehicle inventory.
* Other duties as assigned
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
**Basic Knowledge & Competencies**
* " Excellent time management skills to include prioritization of tasks, communication, execution to meet established deadlines " Professional communication and negotiation skills " Detail oriented and results driven " Proficient in software such as: Outlook, Excel, or other financially system a plus. Possess the ability to learn new software products
**Previous Experience & Education**
* " Previously had 2-3 years of fleet administration or mechanical service experience. DOT standards & industry practices a plus " Proficient professional communication skills to deal with situations under stressful situations. " Ability to work in a professional manner regardless of the situation. " Must have good time management and highly organized to have the ability to deal with high volume of data.
**Physical Requirements**
