•\tThe Fleet Maintenance Manager ensures that the company’s vehicle maintenance programs are in line with regulatory compliance (i.e., OSHA, DOT, EPA, ANSI, etc) is executed in an efficient, safe, and economical manner by providing leadership, and coordinating and directing employee activities engaged in servicing and repairing equipment and vehicles.
•\tPlans, directs, and monitors preventative maintenance and repair programs for all company equipment.
•\tApprises Senior Management about fleet performance and costs. Prepares reports for Senior Management as requested.
•\tSupports and contributes to the development and success of warranty and policy programs for recovery of expenses.
•\tAssists in the development and execution of standard operating procedures for vehicle maintenance using known best practices.
•\tAssists in the direction of departmental activities in budget cycle requirements.
•\tReviews and makes recommendations on scope of work and specifications for major procurements related to maintenance.
•\tAssures timely and assertive responses to inspection findings, working closely to assure company safety and DOT compliance.
•\tAssists in the development and leadership of short-and-long range planning activities covering all aspects of fleet maintenance operations.
•\tEnsures timely and accurate responses to Senior Management initiatives and directives.
•\tEnsures compliance with all RK Hydro-Vac policies and procedures.
•\tEngages in the typical responsibilities of a manager requiring planning, evaluating, organizing, motivating, hiring, training, communicating, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
•\tManages phone calls from the field.
•\tConduct weekly inspections of the shop and outside grounds, ensuring everything is clean and orderly.
•\tInspects shop/maintenance equipment daily prior to beginning of work (i.e.: forklift, overhead crane, grinders, etc.).
•\tManage all parts orders and requisitions for both maintenance and daily supplies inventory.
•\tOrder and maintain all vehicle state and federal licensing and permits.
•\tWilling to be hands-on with maintenance when required.
•\tPerforms other duties as assigned.
