Logan’s Garden Shop, a thriving garden center in Raleigh, NC, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Farm Manager to join our dynamic team at our Grasshopper Farms location. This role is crucial to our financial success and offers a rewarding opportunity for an individual with a passion for plants and a farm to table business.

About Logan’s Garden Shop:

Family owned and operated since 1965; Logan’s Garden Shop is passionate about connecting our community with the joys of gardening. We offer a wide selection of plants, gardening supplies, and expert advice to help our customers create beautiful outdoor spaces. We value teamwork, customer satisfaction, and a positive work environment.

$45,000 - $55,000 a year (based on experience)

This is a full-time position at our Grasshopper Farms Location in Knightdale, NC.

About the Role:

• Oversee the daily functions of the farm, ensuring seamless operations across the nursery, garden center, produce stand, greenhouse, and ice cream shop.
• Expand and manage diverse agricultural tourism activities, including the corn maze, playground, and "pick you own" strawberry patch.
• Develop and execute plans for hosting engaging field trips, workshops, and agricultural educational events.
• Enhance visitor experience with additional attractions like gemstone panning, fishing, and other engaging activities.
• Create and implement a master plan for the property, incorporating future developments like a cafe and rental cabins.
• Cultivate a welcoming and customer-centric atmosphere for all visitors.
• Lead and supervise a small team of retail employees and farm hands, promoting effective teamwork and positive work culture.

Qualifications:

• Proven track record in farm management, emphasizing diverse agricultural operations.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to oversee various aspects of farm operations.
• Customer-focused mindset with exceptional interpersonal skills
• Leadership experience, demonstrating the capability to manage and motivate a small team.
• Proficient knowledge of horticulture, greenhouse operations, and retail management.
• Familiarity with agricultural tourism and event planning.
• Forward-thinking approach to contribute to the strategic development of the farm.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet evolving farm needs.
