Job Description

A private two-household family is looking to hire an experienced and detail-oriented  Family Assistant  who is highly organized and proactive in managing two teenagers' schedules and daily activities
With several professional commitments and a large staff focusing on other areas, the family is looking for an integral team player who is dedicated, experienced, loyal, detail-oriented, and who can anticipate the needs of the children and family they represent
Flexibility is necessary, as additional administrative support outside your primary position will be required.

• Manage and coordinate the children's daily, weekly, and monthly schedules, including school, extracurriculars, appointments, calendar management, family events, etc.
• Monitor school assignments and deadlines.
• Act as a liaison between parents, teenagers, and external parties (teachers, coaches, other staff members, etc.) 
• Maintain open and transparent communication with the family and family support staff 
• Provide additional administrative support as needed for the family 
• Manage schedule changes and conflicts promptly.
• Exercise common sense and the ability to take initiative to accomplish tasks and make decisions
• Taking children to and from appointments and activities
• Ensuring the safety of the children at all times
• Packing and unpacking children’s belongings as needed when traveling
• Maintain a constant line of communication and reporting to the parents
• Running errands and procuring children's supplies as needed
• Working alongside other staff members and at times managing other staff if principals are not present. 

Requirements  

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a family assistant or similar related experience 
• Excellent references are required from current and previous employers
• 4-year college degree is preferred 
• Certification in CPR & First Aid 
• Must have experience working with teens
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Polished, poised, and professional
• Intelligent with strong problem-solving abilities
• Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills
• Good swimming abilities
• Flexibility to work overtime, nights, and weekends if ever needed
• Valid driver’s license and confident driver
• US work authorization
• Valid passport
