This individual will primarily oversee events at Havener Center, Innovation Lab, and Leach Theatre. Key Responsibilities Event Coordination & Execution Oversee events at Missouri S&T, ensuring seamless execution Create event diagrams for clients and staff Inspect event setups, equipment, and venue cleanliness to ensure quality standards Provide on-site problem resolution and customer service during events Communicate and enforce university policies effectively Coordinate services with campus departments and vendors, including dining services, parking, campus police, and facilities operations Work closely with the Manager of Operations to ensure proper event staffing Functionally supervise Event Staff throughout the event execution process, including setup and teardown Address customer concerns promptly, both in-person and electronically Conduct pre- and post-event evaluations to assess outcomes and suggest improvements Oversee Leach Theatre hospitality for Campus Performing Arts Series and other special events Propose ideas to enhance event quality and service offerings Support special projects and other duties as assigned Work evenings and weekends as needed to support events Marketing & Community Engagement Maintain and update the marketing events calendar, regularly communicating updates to stakeholders Act as a liaison between departments, ensuring effective promotion and communication of events Develop relationships with the local chamber of commerce and community partners to expand campus event engagement Serve on various campus and community committees Minimum Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary Preferred Qualifications Experience using the following software/platforms: Microsoft Office PeopleSoft Social Media platforms 25Live EMS Anticipated Hiring Range The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $18.61 to $21.00 hourly. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
