We are currently looking to fill an ETL Developer role at our Headquarters office.

SALARY:

  • The average starting salary for this position will fall in the range of $70,000 and $75,000 annually. Where candidates fall in this range will be based on skill and experience level.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into staging tables, data warehouses, and data marts.
  • Collect and extract data from various sources, including databases, applications, external systems, cloud platforms, APIs, and streaming data sources as required
    for data ingestion.
  • Work closely with the data warehouse and business intelligence team members as well as end users to understand data needs and business requirements and
    deliver effective and scalable ETL solutions.
  • Lead the development of logical and physical data models for data warehouses and data marts, based on best practices and in collaboration with the data
    warehouse and BI team members.
  • Implement data quality checks, error handling, and monitoring processes to ensure accuracy and maintain data integrity throughout the ETL process.
  • Assist in making decisions regarding tool selection to support ETL processes, increasing data quality and performance.
  • Optimize ETL processes and SQL queries, data transformations, and workflows for high performance, scalability, and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ETL job failures and address any data-related issues or bottlenecks that may arise.
  • Develop and maintain clear documentation related to ETL processes, job scheduling data sources, data mapping, and transformations for future reference
    and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain metadata repositories, data dictionaries, and documentation of the data warehouse/data mart architecture.
  • Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:

  • Strong proficiency in writing SQL queries for major RDBMS platforms, including especially MS SQL and or MySQL.
  • Proficient in consuming and processing data from web services/calling REST APIs.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across technical and business teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field from an accredited college or university required.

  • 2+ years of relevant ETL experience required.
  • Master’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Hands-on data modeling experience, including the previous development of data marts and/or working with a data warehouse preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with data warehousing concepts and design methodologies (e.g., Kimball or Inmon) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of APIs, and common flat data formats, such as JSON, and XML preferred.
  • Hands-on-experience working on extracting data from an Electronic Health Records (EHR) and/or Salesforce preferred.
  • Working within strict regulatory requirements, such as handling of electronic personal health information (HIPAA) preferred.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Satisfactorily pass all relevant screenings and criminal background checks.

TRANSPORTATION/TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Driving not required. Travel between sites not required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the essential duties of this job, the employee is required to sit and stand for sustained periods of time, frequently talk, hear, use hands and fingers to feel, handle, and operate objects or controls, and occasionally stand, bend, stretch, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee will lift and/or move objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
