As we expand our operations, we are seeking an Embedded Software Intern to ensure the excellence and reliability of our advanced energy storage solutions. Were looking for someone with experience architecting, developing, integrating, testing, and troubleshooting embedded software written in C and Python on microcontrollers such as the STM32, ESP32, and Raspberry Pi. These systems are the heart of safety-critical products like battery management systems and battery charging systems. This internship is for Summer 2025. Responsibilities Writing and maintaining code for microcontrollers and related peripherals in embedded systems such as battery management systems and related energy management systems Testing, debugging, and troubleshooting these systems Working alongside other developers, hardware engineers, and mechanical engineers on integration of the systems into the product Maintaining, supporting, and improving systems after initial delivery Qualifications Proficiency in low-level microcontroller development (e.g. STM32), RTOS (e.g. FreeRTOS), and hardware abstraction layer usage Experience writing, testing, and debugging device drivers based on technical documentation Familiarity writing, testing, and debugging bootloaders and flash programming tools Extensive knowledge of C Knowledge of peripherals and communication protocols such as SPI, CAN, and I2C Hands-on experience testing and debugging code on a bench setup using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG probes, etc. Experience managing source code with Git and GitLab Strong documentation and communication skills Soft Skills Ability to context-switch between multiple different projects Strong teamwork skills Ability to balance perfection and practicality Passion for safe, robust implementations Preferred Qualifications Experience with Python, Rust, shell scripting, CMake, linker syntax Experience with MATLAB and Simulink Participation in school or college engineering programs (FIRST, FSAE, EcoCAR, etc.) Experience with hardware or electronic circuit design Familiarity with Infineon AURIX, NXP LPC, STM SPC, TI C2000, or other MCU families What We Offer: A dynamic, innovative, and inclusive work environment.
