We are seeking an experienced EHS&S Manager to lead and manage plant-wide environmental, health, safety, and sustainability programs in Bear, DE. This role is critical in protecting employee well-being, minimizing environmental impact, and supporting company initiatives such as carbon footprint reduction, zero waste to landfill, and renewable resource adoption.
Salary: $115,000 – $125,000/year (Based on Experience)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)
Weekend hours may be required for special project work

Design, implement, and maintain EHS&S programs to promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local environmental regulations, including hazard communication, hazardous waste, stormwater, sewer discharge, air emissions, and recycling.
Lead efforts to reduce carbon emissions, energy/water consumption, and eliminate landfill waste through process improvements and resource reuse.
Collaborate with operations teams on renewable energy integration, energy audits, and material selection.
Track and manage all waste streams and recycling efforts while promoting circular economic practices.
Collect, analyze, and report environmental and sustainability metrics (e.g., carbon footprint, waste diversion, energy usage).
Deliver and continuously improve EHS&S training and onboarding for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure EHS&S compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
Develop and administer technical safety training for equipment and operations.
Investigate incidents and near-misses, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
Act as a site liaison for corporate Safety, Health, Environmental, and Sustainability teams.
Promote a culture of accountability and engagement in environmental and sustainability goals.
Create campaigns and recognition programs to celebrate EHS&S achievements and encourage team involvement.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Occupational Health, Sustainability, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of progressive experience in EHS or sustainability within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Solid understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability standards (e.g., ISO 14001, Zero Waste, GHG Protocol, ESG reporting).
Strong analytical skills with the ability to track and interpret EHS&S data.
Proven leadership in driving sustainability and safety initiatives across cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP, sustainability platforms, or EHS software is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, innovative, and passionate about continuous improvement in EHS&S.
