Role Overview
The EHS Manager position is responsible for developing, planning, coordinating and directing Environmental, Health, Safety, and Process Safety activities at their site to ensure employee health and safety, and full regulatory compliance. This is a key member of the site leadership team directly reporting to the Site Manager with support from the PureCycle EHS Leadership team.
What You'll Be Doing
· Ensures compliance with all Federal, State, Local and Internal requirements, and reporting.
· Regularly interfaces with Director of EHS. Program Manager PSM, and other Site EHS Managers for expert support.
· Manages and develops EHS specialist role as direct report.
· Provides administrative oversight to the Quality Supervisor and Laboratory Technicians.
· Recognizes and resolves conditions with potential to lead to significant events or noncompliance situations.
· Leads and facilitates all Environmental compliance record keeping, reporting, monitoring, and permit revisions and modifications.
· Ensures compliance with all elements of Process Safety Management and Corporate Process Safety Standards. This includes:
o Ensuring that Contractors at the site are adequately managed.
· Assists, as needed, with job hazard identification, PPE selection, daily safe work permitting, plant outage EHS planning.
· Ensures incident investigations are performed in accordance with the corporate standard.
· Supports the completion of site corrective and preventive actions.
· Coordinates and supports corporate compliance programs, including periodic site self-audits.
· Provides EHS-related training for site employees.
· Manages regulated, universal, and hazardous waste at the site.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
· BS in a related field of study (Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, etc.)
· 5+ years of relevant experience.
· 3+ years of direct supervisory experience.
· Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, ANSI and EPA regulations and reporting requirements.
· Experience with EHSQ Platforms (Intelex, etc.)
· Familiarity with EHS-related ISO systems.
· Proficient with modern workplace software (Office, etc.)
Nice to Haves
· EHS-related memberships, registrations and/or certifications.
· 10+ years of front-line EHS management experience.
· 5+ years of experience in managing direct reports.
· Experience in managing a team of direct reports.
