Position Overview

The Director of Educational Services implements strategic goals, objectives, policies and procedures as developed by the Board, Executive Director/CEO. The Director of Educational Services provides direction and leadership to the school, teachers and staff in the consistent achievement of the school's philosophy, mission, pillars, strategy and goals.

Education/Experience

Master’s degree in Special Education required, dual certification as a Board-Certified Behavior Analysts/LABA and or Doctorate preferred, from an accredited college/university. Experience administering an applied behavior analysis, ABA, school-based program for children with disabilities, specifically children and young adults with autism spectrum disorder. Education in learning disabilities such as; behavioral management techniques, curriculum modification, discrete trial, direct instruction, and task analysis; specific techniques in working with students with significant behavioral difficulties impacting their learning.

Certificates and Licenses

Possess a professional teaching license in Special Education. Possess Special Education administrator license or currently intend and/or in pursuit of such licensure by The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervision of all educational departments of the school and supplemental staff; is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of these units. Directly supervises non-supervisory employees. Development of department policy and procedures, standard operating procedures and supportive documents, oversight of Individual Education Plans, IEPs, accompanying lesson plans and data collection. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Salary

Competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

We have a unique team format consisting of a 2:1 & 1:1 student to teacher ratio, a special education teacher within each classroom, as well as a behavior analyst within each classroom. Our teachers and behavior analysts are not considered within the ratio, therefor they are free to oversee the classroom as a whole. Our classrooms consist of a maximum of 8 students. Our goal is to provide a highly structured and intensive environment while building positive relationships with our students and supporting them not only educationally, but behaviorally, socially, adaptively, and emotionally.
