Farmers district managers are independent business owners who oversee all aspects of their business, including recruiting of entrepreneurial-minded individuals to own and operate an insurance agency, assisting profitable sales growth, supporting agency development, and driving overall district business results.

Seeking candidates with:

• The drive and ability to own and operate their own business with a focus on supporting agency growth
• 5+ years of Property & Casualty or Financial Services sales experience (preferred)
• Proven success driving business results in current and/or previous roles
• 5+ years of successful leadership experience including recruiting and developing sales professionals or business owners
• Ability to develop and execute effective business strategies
• Strong business acumen with the ability to develop and coach successful business owners
• A history developing a local presence in their community
• A proven track record for obtaining business results through the development of effective relationships across business functions
• Ability to assess market conditions, trends, and indicators
• Knowledge of agent contracts and associated compliance experience

Requirements:

• Satisfactory results of a background check
• Obtain Property, Casualty, Life and Health licenses
• Obtain Series 6, 63 (where applicable) and 26 licenses
• Access to capital for start-up – there are no startup fees payable to Farmers
• 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
• Successful completion of the University of Farmers® district manager training program
• Secure an acceptable office location
