A dynamic real estate investment firm launching a dedicated student housing property management arm. We are seeking a senior-level Director of Property Management to lead this initiative from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to build a vertically integrated management platform within a high-growth investment firm, with full autonomy over team building, operational systems, and resident experience strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute the operational strategy for a newly formed student housing property management division
• Recruit, train, and oversee on-site and regional property management teams
• Implement technology platforms and SOPs to support scalable, high-performing operations
• Oversee lease-ups, renewals, rent collections, maintenance, and vendor relationships across a growing portfolio
• Ensure regulatory compliance, strong resident retention, and top-tier service delivery
• Serve as a strategic advisor to ownership, contributing to acquisitions, capital planning, and asset performance
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of property management experience, with significant leadership in student housing
• Proven success in launching or scaling a management platform (or leading a regional portfolio)
• Deep understanding of student leasing cycles, marketing, and operations
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build culture and infrastructure from scratch
• Experience with property management software and reporting systems (e.g., Yardi, RealPage)
