Overview
The SPROUTS Director of Marketing is responsible for directing the vision and strategy for building a clearly defined go-to-market marketing plan that is focused on driving customer growth.
The position will lead a team that develops and executes integrated plans, helping differentiate the company from its competitors by driving Sprouts unique brand position.
This role will focus on strengthening the company's brand position and drive growth through all channels (includes stores and e-commerce.) And will be responsible for elevating brand awareness and consideration among Sprouts core customers.
This position will lead setting and directing the vision and strategy for the SPROUTS Marketing plan providing clear leadership and motivational coaching for the brand team and broader organization on brand positioning, campaign development and customer messaging strategies.
This highly collaborative role will work closely across the Marketing Team, the Merchant Team, the Sprouts Brand Team and the Foraging Team to deliver marketing plans that effectively work towards achieving business goals. This includes ownership of the cross-functional planning process that is rooted in data and insights.
Essential Functions
* Leads the Cross Functional GTM Process across Marketing and in partnership with Merchandising including Business Goals, Customer Insights, Timelines, and Communication Cadence.
* Utilizes data and insights to develop customer centric marketing strategies that drive growth with a focus on continuous optimization and increased effectiveness.
* Sets creative strategies and executes customer messaging that creates demand for Sprouts products, drives brand strength and delivers increased sales and traffic.
* Utilizes storytelling to engage the Sprouts core customers and takes initiative to drive store traffic.
* Oversees the creation of in-store marketing collateral, designed to feature and effectively support brand and seasonal campaigns and events.
* Partners with Merchandising to create marketing campaigns and in store experiences that establish Sprouts as the leader in innovation
* Ensures brand values are reflected across all campaigns including promotional campaigns and merchant campaigns.
* Has a clear understanding of different mediums of media and what is needed to develop strong creative for these mediums.
* Leads the in-house brand marketing team focused on developing and executing strategies, prioritizing messaging needs, planning and producing assets across all channels
* Collaborates and works cross functionally with the Marketing Leadership Team to ensure all marketing initiatives appropriately reflect the Sprouts brand.
* Sets Sprouts brand marketing standards, guidelines, and language.
* Takes the initiative to research and understands industry trends and takes action to address market opportunities, challenges or obstacles.Works within a set budget and pivots quickly as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field required.
* 8-10 years' experience in brand and creative marketing, to include experience leading a team of high performing professionals.
* Retail, restaurant or customer facing brand experience preferred.
* Previous experience working in a cross-functional environment.
* Experience setting marketing strategy and driving execution through leadership and influence.
* Experience directing work through a third-party advertising/marketing agency.
* Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
* Highly organized with experience developing processes that work cross functionally.
* Ability to influence, inspire and lead others.
* Experience presenting at the Executive level and has experience putting together clear, concise presentations.
* Excellent project management skills and highly organized
