What is a Patient Coordinator?

The Patient Coordinator is responsible for greeting and scheduling patients, both in-person and on the phone. They manage overall appointment activities, take detailed phone messages, verify procedure completion, obtain and provide referrals, collect payments, and verify and submit insurance claims. They maintain an orderly waiting room and front desk. They facilitate communication with patients, co-workers, and doctors. They must be able to multi-task in high-volume situations.

What must you have to qualify as a candidate?

- Great outgoing, engaging personality, and demeanor.
- Excellent computer skills with good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to multi-task and think on your feet in a high paced environment
- Some flexibility with work schedule - able to work at least one night per week and e/o Saturday
- Professionalism, and ability to build excellent rapport with patients
- Passion and ambition
