Position Overview:  As a Delivery Driver you will function as a brand ambassador to our valued Vita coffee wholesale customers, and our Vita Retail Locations delivering their weekly coffee orders as well as merchandise and supplies. You are personable and ask for client feedback on how we can better our service – and pass that feedback along to management. Ideal candidates are folks who are detail-oriented, have a knack for time management, work well alone, and are excellent communicators.

Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and safely operate a delivery vehicle.

• Deliver a variety of items to different addresses, through different delivery routes.

• Complete a variety of delivery services from drop-&-go to back of house FIFO based on account preference.

• Obtain signed delivery confirmations from customers.

• For grocery that we own distribution of: Write & submit weekly coffee orders, merchandise store and FIFO coffee on store shelves. 

• Review deliveries with recipients to ensure accuracy while documenting and communicating all errors.

• Collaborate with the Warehouse & Logistics Manager & Account Managers, providing feedback to help create efficiency in the daily delivery routes. 

• Collaborate with the Delivery Drivers reviewing route loads each morning and coordinating with one another to promote efficiency.

• Keep delivery vehicles clean inside and out.

• When necessary, complete additional, “add-on" and emergency deliveries as directed by the Warehouse & Logistics Manager. 

• Partner cross departmentally by maintaining open channels of communication with Production and Account Management teams, including communication run through Slack and Email. 

• Able to lift 60 lbs. unassisted.

• Navigate a variety of weather and road conditions including but not limited to rain, sleet and snow.

• When all daily deliveries are completed and the van has been cleaned: assist with tasks in the warehouse including but not limited to order fulfillment, order pick/pack, box making, taking out the trash & recycling, etc. 

• Ensure Caffe Vita’s superior quality is represented in every product and all services.

• Proactively foster your own professional development. 

• Take pride in your work, workstations, work vehicles and work equipment.

• Actively contribute to continuous improvement. 

• Safely operate pallet jack, hand truck, and willingness to become forklift certified. 

• Consistent and reliable attendance for scheduled shifts. 

• Problem solves on the fly and demonstrate strong personal initiative. 

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse & Logistics Manager.

Qualifications: 

 

• Provide a Motor Vehicle Report clean of any major infractions. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability, or willingness to learn to attach snow chains to vehicle tires.

• Ability to work well alone, and on a team. 

• Ability to work occasional weekends and holidays. 

• Superior organizational, planning, and time management skills.

• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in any given situation. 

• Ability to quickly learn new systems and/or prior experience with Microsoft Suite, (excel, word, OneDrive) NetSuite, When I Work, & Paychex
