The Creative Arts Therapist uses a variety of organized age/population specific activities for patient treatment. Treatment is provided in groups or individually for all assigned patients. Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree (or Master's if required by the areaof speciality) required in Music, Drama, Art, Dance/Movement, Drama or Recreation Therapy. Registered/board certified or certified (or registration /certificate pending) with the national association of his/her specialty area. Successful completion of education with experience in the field. Maintains compliance with all Hospital annual competencies as well as CPR, and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI). Thoroughly understands the management of the patient milieu including age specific and cultural requirements and has knowledge of JCAHO, CMS, OSHA regulations and all other relevant state and federal regulatory standards.
