Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Psychologist to join our mental health team within a Correctional Facility. This role plays a critical function in the psychological evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of incarcerated individuals. The position offers a unique opportunity to deliver impactful care in a secure environment, supported by a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications:

• Possession of a current and valid license as a Clinical Psychologist in the state of California.
• At least 12 consecutive months of clinical experience within the past 3 years in a comparable setting (internship/residency not included).
• Demonstrated proficiency in both spoken and written English to ensure effective communication and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and individualized treatment planning.
• Provide psychotherapy services, including crisis intervention, individual and group therapy, and behavioral interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and participate in Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT) meetings.
• Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and progress in accordance with institutional standards and legal requirements.
• Perform mental status evaluations and utilize relevant case materials to inform clinical decisions.
• Support institutional safety by monitoring and managing inmate behavior in alignment with treatment goals and security protocols.
• Assist with patient transitions within the facility and coordinate continuity of care with external providers upon release.
• Maintain compliance with all California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

Nightingale's List Job. Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
