Job Description

Structures Division , a division of the H&K Group, Inc. is looking for a Concrete Paving Finisher for heavy civil and highway construction projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

• Performs all work according to OSHA and H&K Safety policies
• Reads blueprints and job-related documents to properly plan work
• Reasonable knowledge of concrete materials, workability, finishing, finishing equipment and curing
• Specific knowledge of concrete paving, finishing, texturing and curing
• Conducts daily huddles with crew to establish daily production goals and ensures all members of crew know and buy into the plan for the day
• Communicates with customer representatives and inspectors in a courteously and professionally
• Performs all other duties of crew members as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills, Education, and Experience

• Ability to read blueprints and job-related documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Problem solving
• Ability to travel as required for projects
• Ability to fit test & utilize appropriate PPE as needed
• Ability to meet physical requirements (movement, lifting, as relevant to job)

  Preferred Skills, Education, and Experience

• 2 years of relevant experience and/or training
• Experience operating heavy equipment used in highway construction
• OSHA or other relevant safety certifications
