CNC Lathe Machinist/Setup Operator

Microwave Techniques is searching for an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist.

We are located in Gorham, ME, Nashua, NH and Hamburg, Germany and are a market leader in the design and manufacture of high-power RF components. We provide technical solutions for our clients on a global scale. We create and manufacture state-of-the-art products that make a difference in many industries including defense, scientific, medical and commercial.

We are looking for a CNC Lathe Machinist to add to our team. Microwave Techniques is a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with Aluminum, Copper, Brass and Stainless Steel, as well as plastic.

Responsibilities:

· Set up CNC lathes according to blueprint specification.

· Experience selecting the appropriate fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, and materials.

· Use measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances of finished products.

· Essential to have experience in modifying speeds and feeds.

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment with production deadlines.

· Ability to make minor programming changes.

Qualifications:

· 2 years' experience with CNC Lathes

· Working knowledge of geometric dimension and tolerance

· Must be able to use measuring tools such as micrometer and calipers

· Experience with various metals and plastic

· Technical aptitude and math skills

· Maintain attendance within company guidelines

This position is Monday through Friday 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, or Second Shift option, 2:15 pm to 12:45 am Monday through Thursday.
