CLINICAL TEACHER EDUCATOR EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT at The Valley Health System summary:

The Clinical Teacher Educator in the Emergency Department at Henderson Hospital is responsible for providing expert clinical support, education, and consultation to nursing and medical staff to improve patient care. The role requires a Master of Science in Nursing and extensive experience in acute care and clinical program development. This position also involves monitoring clinical practices and collaborating with staff to ensure high standards of patient safety and care quality.

Job Description:

The Clinical Educator acts as an expert clinician, educator, consultant and researcher. In collaboration with nursing & medical staff, the Clinical Teacher-Educator monitors the clinical care of patients and provides clinical support to improve patient care and patient.


Qualifications

Shift: FULL TIME VARIED

 

Education:

Master of Science in Nursing in area of specialization.

 

Experience:

Minimum of five years acute care nursing experience; demonstrated experience in clinical program development, outcomes management, and teaching. Cardiac Subspecialty required if working in Critical Care Area. Emergency Department experience required.

 

Technical Skills:

Demonstrate a working knowledge of the current Nevada State Board of Nursing Practice.

 

License/Certification:

Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada. Certification in area of specialization is highly desirable. Current BLS Certification.

 

Other:

Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
