Job Description

Chief Marketing & Membership Officer (CMMO) IASLC

IASLC is a nonprofit association dedicated to the global fight against lung cancer. As CMMO, you will lead marketing, communications, membership, and journal functions to grow the IASLCs worldwide community and increase brand visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy development for global marketing/communications and membership growth, setting priorities and performance goals aligned with the organizations strategic pillars.
  • Provide leadership and supervision for Marketing & Communications, Membership, and Journals departments to build and sustain excellence.
  • Align membership, marketing, and journal initiatives to strengthen the IASLC brand and enhance member experience worldwide.
  • Strategic stewardship of departmental budgets and financial management, ensuring prudent resource allocation aligned with priorities.
  • Contribute to organizational strategy, longrange planning, and decisionmaking as a member of the executive leadership team.
  • Represent IASLC as a key spokesperson, cultivating connections that expand reach and reputation.
  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate the performance of a highperforming team and foster a culture of mutual respect, learning, and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Deep commitment to IASLC mission and compassion for those living with or at risk for lung cancer.
  • 10+ years of professional management experience, with at least 5 years of executive experience in a highperforming organization (preferably a nonprofit or association).
  • Graduate degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Healthcare Marketing, or related field.
  • Expertise in digital marketing, global campaigns, and membership growth & retention strategies.
  • Proven ability to build, lead, and manage highperforming teams.
  • Strong interpersonal and crosscultural communication skills; experience with diverse international stakeholders.
  • Expertise in financial management and complex budget oversight at the executive level.
  • Exceptional personal integrity, strong work ethic, proactive customer/member service approach.
  • International professional experience preferred. Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Benefits & Compensation

Salary: $200,000210,000 per year, commensurate with expertise and experience. Hybrid work schedule Denver office with 12 days remote. Health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) match, paid vacation, sick time, holidays, flexible spending plan, and additional perks.
