About the Role
The Company is seeking a President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead its mission of alleviating hunger and empowering communities. The successful candidate will be a servant leader with a deep commitment to the organization's mission, demonstrating a passion for the work and the community. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive innovation, oversee operations, and strategically position the organization for sustained impact. The CEO will work closely with the Board of Directors and the leadership team to ensure the effective and sustainable implementation of fiscal, operational, fundraising, marketing, human resource, technology, and programmatic strategies. Key responsibilities include community engagement, representing the organization as an ambassador, and fostering a values-driven organizational culture. The ideal candidate will have a BA/BS degree with at least ten years of experience in nonprofit or public agency management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. They must possess key attributes such as servant leadership, a learning mindset, and emotional resilience, as well as key skills in strategic vision, communication, and people and change management. The role demands a leader with a strong operational understanding, a proven track record in fundraising, and experience in collaborating with a Board of Directors. The candidate should be adept at managing a diverse team, addressing staffing issues, and navigating through change while maintaining reliability. A transparent and effective leadership style, along with a dedication to fighting hunger and poverty, is essential.
